About the Author

Nancy Fulton Walker

Nancy Fulton Walker has been writing all her life, in one form or another.   As a child, she wrote stories created from her imagination.  In high school, she was enrolled in classes to prepare for college and wrote many term papers.  In college, receiving two liberal arts degrees, she wrote extensive research papers.  As a civil litigation paralegal for thirty-five years, she wrote many legal memoranda and drafted court pleadings.  She also found that she had a knack for writing inspired poetry for special situations, particularly when a friend was experiencing grief.  When the occasion arose, she wrote poems to express comfort and sympathy.

When it happened to her, the experience of profound grief upon the sudden unexpected loss of her husband of forty-three years and simultaneously her retirement from a professional in which she found her definition, she was compelled to write again.  This time, it was part of the process of healing her heart and soul, and a way to find a new direction for her life.  Coupled with a love for Scotland, for many reasons, and for photography of spectacular landscapes, it has resulted in her book, My Soul Sings of Scotland.  Hope you enjoy it!

Ms. Walker is a native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with friends, and working at her church. She has one daughter who is involved in the mental health profession. Her beloved companions at home are her two cats, Brodie and Malcolm.
